Explore One City Church

At One City, Jesus is the Hero!

We are not perfect people. Not even close. But through the gospel of Jesus, we have come to know the incredible love of God. It has changed us and is still changing us.

As followers of Jesus, we live to worship Him, care for one another and bring His blessing to our neighborhoods, our city and the world.

Our Core Values

Our Core Values

These four things are most important to us:

Pursuit
We want to seek God-centered Joy in all of life because of who Jesus is and what He has done for us.

Growth
We are all called to be disciples of Jesus. As we grow in our understanding of God’s Word, the Bible, and then put it into practice, we become more and more like Jesus.

Community
It’s not about “just me and Jesus” at One City Church. God has brought us together, and we are to help one another as part of a family.

Mercy
We want everyone to know our God and Savior! God has invited us to join Him in reaching our city and the nations.

What We Believe at One City Church

The-ol-o-gy [n] – rational thought about God

Many churches have stopped thinking deeply about who God is and what it means to live in relation to Him. At One City, we talk a lot about what we believe because it affects who we are and how we live.

In a nutshell, we identify ourselves as:

Christian

Evangelical

Reformed

Missional

For more details on our doctrinal commitments, see our Where We Stand page.

We believe that it is important for churches to be in fellowship and labor with one another for the advance of the Kingdom of God. Therefore, we align ourselves with Grace Church at Willow Valley (our planting congregation), with the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches and with the Acts 29 Network.

Our Leadership

Kevin Medina

Pastoral Assistant

Kevin Medina is the Pastoral assistant of One City Church. He recently graduated from Lancaster Bible College with a degree in Pastoral Ministries. Born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Kevin is excited to be a part of a church that seeks to reach various cultures within Lancaster City. He will be building relationships with people in the surrounding neighborhood as well as translating the sermons for the Hispanic community. In January of 2016 Kevin married his beautiful wife Julia Medina. The two hope to return to Kevin’s home country of Honduras to serve as missionaries as God leads them and opens the doors.

Alec Millen

Elder / Church Planter

Alec is excited about God’s call to preach the gospel in Lancaster city! He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, in a church-going family but, personally, had no interest in the God of the Bible. As a self-assured “good guy,” he felt no need for grace from God, and so spent his time on sports, friends and occasionally his education. His life changed in the spring of 1991 when God radically invaded his life and revealed to Alec that Jesus Christ was the treasure he was created for. That night Alec was saved by the amazing grace and mercy of God. For over two decades Alec has been privileged to serve Christ in diverse settings like New York City, Uganda, Tanzania and most recently at Grace Church at Willow Valley. Alec is happily married to Tammy and they have four children: Chelsea, Amber, Benjamin and Savannah.
